HOW IT WORKS.
Acetyl-octapetide-1, also known as SNAP-8, or acetyl-octapetide-3, is a synthetic peptide compound that is an extended chain of amino acids known in cosmetology, Argineline, i.e. a neuropeptide that inhibits muscle contractions.
 
The mechanism of action is based on the local reduction of the potential of acetylcholine, an excitatory neurotransmitter, the concentration of which in the intersynaptic spaces remains crucial for the occurrence of muscle contraction. The effect of this is the multiple, local reduction of the contractile capacity of the muscles, thus relaxing them and, following it, smoothing out expression lines.
 
THE SNAP ADVANTAGE:
Removing wrinkles by reducing muscle contractility is nothing new. A similar mechanism has been used for years in treatments with botulinum toxin, more widely known as botox.
